2008 Eastern Pennsylvania Regional Dressage RallyQualifying Day Saturday, May 31, 2008
All Dressage Rallies will be governed by the "USPC Handbook and Rules for Dressage Competition 2007," "The Uniform Officiating Rules of USPC" and "USPC Horse Management Handbook and Rules for Competitions." Entries: Postmarked by May 12, 2008. Faxed copies need to be followed with mailed original. Fee $55.00 per rider additional $10 for Musical Freestyle. (Pas De Deux $10 for the pair) Late or incomplete entries will be charged $25 fee per person. Please make check payable to Eastern PA Region. All entries must have the following paperwork to be considered complete:
Entries are not limited: If you do not have a full team we will place the children with another club. One team from the qualifying division will be invited to represent the Region at Championships. To qualify for Championships children must be at least 12 years old as of January 1, 2008. Teams : Saturday's teams must consist of teams with riders at the C-1 level or above if they are riding Training Test, however D-3 riders will be allowed if riding First Level and up if they meet the age requirement and want to qualify for Championships. Riders not qualifying for Championships may choose any two 2007 USEF or FEI tests of choice at any level in which he feels his horse will best be able to perform.. PLEASE NOTE: NEW DRESSAGE TESTS FOR 2007 TEST MOVEMENTS ARE ON THE USDF WEBSITE AT http://www.usef.org/content/equestrianSports/disciplines/international/dressageMovements.php Required Tests for riders wishing to Qualify for Championships:
USDF Introductory Tests: Cs and up may ride USDF Introductory tests, but these would not be accepted as qualifying tests for Championships. Quadrille Information: There will be a Quadrille division at Nationals again this year the team may have one D-3 rider, teams will not have to qualify but must have permission of the RS. If this is something you may like to do it would be a good idea to ride the musical at the regional rally for practice. For more information see the Dressage Spring Newsletter on the Pony Club Web page. All Tests are available at the Pony Club Book Store. MUSICAL FREESTYLES & PAS DE DEUX: Are required for anyone hoping to go to Championships. Competitors must provide their own disk/tape(s) (two disks/tapes are strongly recommended). Please have name on it and give to the Secretary upon arrival at the Rally. Costumes are permitted for Pas de Deux competitors only. Please caution the children they must have hard hats, boots and not be offensive to the Judges. All freestyle will be ridden in a large arena on qualifying day. There will be NO Written Test at Rally Please review the 2008 Dressage Rulebook and the Annual Dressage Newsletter at http://dressage.ponyclub.org/ Awards: The Thornbeck Trophy - To the High Scoring C Rider & High C Team Trophy.
